Who I am when the CV is put away: where I come from, what I pay attention to, and what I carry with me.

01Story
I grew up in [City / region], in a family where [a short, specific detail about home or upbringing].
My interest in business started with a simple question: why do some companies last and others don't? It led me to economics and finance, and then to the people and products behind the numbers. [One sentence on how that interest first showed up — a job, a book, a family business.]
Today I study [programme] at [university]. Alongside it I write, take photographs, and work on small projects that let me test ideas in practice rather than only read about them.
What I want from work is fairly plain: to build something useful with people I respect, and to become someone whose judgement can be trusted. [Optional: one sentence on what you are working towards next.]

02Motivations
Questions I keep coming back to
Not answers. These are the questions behind most of what I read, write and photograph.
01Why do some companies compound for decades while others stall? The answer is rarely only in the accounts. It is usually in the people and the decisions behind them.
02What makes a product feel obvious in hindsight?Good products remove a step or a doubt. I like working out which one, and how.
03How much of good judgement can be learned? Some of it comes from reading. Most of it, I suspect, comes from making decisions and reviewing them honestly.
04What is enough?Ambition is useful. Knowing what it is for is more useful.
